Environmental healthcare
Pyhäjoki Municipality is a member of the environmental healthcare cooperation area with the town of Raahe, Siikajoki Municipality, Merijärvi Municipality and the town of Kalajoki. The town of Kalajoki acts as the host municipality and provides environmental healthcare services to the other municipalities. The health control offices are located in Kalajoki and Raahe and the veterinary care office in Siikajoki.
Health supervision duties include food inspection, inspection of dwellings and other premises, household, bathing and swimming pool water inspection, consumer safety inspection, chemical inspection and inspection of tobacco products and nicotine preparations.
